Covers the hinterland of the fortified town of Aden, showing detailed relief with form lines, hydrology, settlements, and communications. Place-names and tribal areas are given in Latin script.
Within the neat lines the sheets are fair drawn and completed for printing. The information in the margins comprises printed paste-downs and manuscript text including the statements 'Surveyed under the direction of Colonel H.R. Thuillier C.I.E., R.E., Surveyor General of India, by Captain R.A. Wahab, R.E., and Mr. G.P. Tate, F.R.G.S., assisted by Mr E. Graham and Sub-Surveyor Asgar Ali Beg' and 'Exd. [illegible] 11/2/95', also signed 'R.A. Wahab Capt. R.E. D/S In charge Aden Detcht Mussorie 13th Sept. 1892'.
