Mottled-brown post-bound album, 288x350mm, containing uncaptioned mounted prints, from the collection of Lieutenant-Colonel Walter Campbell. Pages are interleaved with tissue. The photographs record the occasion of the installation of the Maharaja of Chhatarpur, Bhawani Singh. Includes views of guests arriving and departing and a dinner party.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Walter Fendall Campbell (1894-1973), Indian Army 1914; Indian Political Department 1921; Prime Minister of Alwar 1935-36; Resident, Waziristan 1939-40; Resident for Central India 1942-46; Resident in Mysore 1946-47.
