Black post-bound album, 190x281mm, containing uncaptioned mounted prints, from the collection of Lieutenant-Colonel Walter Campbell.. Pages are interleaved with tissue. The album cover has the word 'Souvenir' on the front and the title is handwritten on the front free endpapar. The photographs depict scenes at an Indian Catholic wedding including portraits of the bride (one hand-coloured), family groups, views before, during and after the ceremony and scenes at the reception. There is a loose print of the church (unidentified).
Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Walter Fendall Campbell (1894-1973), Indian Army 1914; Indian Political Department 1921; Prime Minister of Alwar 1935-36; Resident, Waziristan 1939-40; Resident for Central India 1942-46; Resident in Mysore 1946-47.
