Showing pigs swimming across the river and causing confusion among the horsemen on the bank. The inscription on the print more accurately identifies the location as Kohsan, some mile north-west of Tirpol. Photographic copy of a sketch by Edward Durand, Assistant Commissioner, Afghan Boundary Commissioner. The letterpress description of this scene (from the printed list accompanying the duplicate set of these prints at Photo 12), reads: '(40) Charge of pigs led by two or three old boars. They deliberately charged men and horses across the river, the water spurting up in a semi circle from the tushes of the leaders. They charged right through everybody, leaving one boar dead.' Another copy at Photo 12 (++).
