Cloth-bound album measuring 278 x 370 mm, with 'Photographs' stamped in gold on front cover, in a very poor state of repair with spine broken and pages loose. The album consists of architectural views in Burma and Sri Lanka, mainly the former. A number of the photographs also appear in F. O. Oertel, 'Note on a Tour in Burma in March and April 1892' (Rangoon, 1893).
Sir Richard Carnac Temple (1850-1931), Indian Army officer, administrator in Burma and the Andaman Islands and writer on anthropological subjects.
