Hand-coloured lantern slide showing a European figure (presumably Frederick Oertel) operating a plate camera mounted on a tripod, with another European (presumably Cousens), bearded and wearing a pith helmet, standing in the background, and with a group of Indians standing to the left. Henry Cousens (1854-1933) joined the Archaeological Survey in the mid-1870s and was Superintendent of the Archaelogical Survey of India, Western Circle, from 1906. He retired in 1910. The Juggernaut car is only partially visible at the right.
