Scope & Content:

Brown half-leather bound album measuring 225x292mm, with prints mounted one to a page with neatly-pencilled captions beneath. The photographs, although unsigned, appear to be professional work and the majority show architectural and topographical scenes, with no personal material. The album contains material from the following locations:

Prints 1-37 Southern Indian views, including Vellore, Kodaikanal, Madras, Chingleput, Nilgiri Hills and Coonor.

Prints 38-47 Northern Indian views, including Agra, Lucknow, Delhi, Benares.

Prints 48-51 Western India, including Ellora and the Bhore Ghat Incline.

Prints 52-62 Views at Darjeeling and Amber.

Prints 63-76 Miscellaneous views at Agra, Benares, Ellora, lucknow, Fatehpur Sikri, Delhi.

Prints 77-92 Miscellaneous loose prints, mainly English.
