Scope & Content:

Collection of modern contact prints from original nitrate negatives. The original negatives have been destroyed and new negatives made by photographing the prints on Polaroid negative film. Prints are uncaptioned apart from a brief note of sites written on the negative wallet.

The prints show scenes at Benares, Ajanta, Ellora and on the Suez Canal.

Dr William Bernard Manley, Barrister-at-Law, served in the Indian Police (Bombay) from 1906-26.
