Green full leather bound album measuring 360 x 445 mm (some damp staining to covers and pages) containing photographs and detailed handwritten journal of Indian tour. This album covers the period of the Marquess of Zetland's arrival in Bombay on 11 February 1899, his journey to Srinagar via Ahmadabad, Mount Abu, Jaipur, Agra, Cawnpore and Murree, and his travels on to Baltistan ('Little Tibet') hunting ibex up to May 1899. The photographic record is continued in the following albums, which contains duplicates (generally in much better condition) of many of the prints in this album.
