Full-length portrait, seated beside a small table, taken at John Murray's house in Agra. A modern copy from an unidentified original. See also Photo 835 (395), for what is presumably a reciprocal portrait of Murray by Mallitte: the items on the table are identically placed and the two photographs were clearly taken on the same occasion. Oscar Jean Baptiste Mallitte (c. 1829-1905) was a photographer of French origins. He is known to have been in Agra in 1859.
