Purple half-leather bound album measuring 395x514mm, with title as above stamped in gold on front cover. Prints are mounted on blue album pages with a white border round each image and handwritten captions beneath. The album records the first part of Lord Curzon's Autumn 1902 tour and shows views and scenes at Datia, Jhansi, Orchha, Dhar, Mhow, Mandu and Mandhata. There is a certain amount of overlap with the material in Photo 430/22, but the prints in this album are of inferior photographic quality. The photographs are unsigned, but prints 57-60 are captioned in the negative in a hand that identifies them as the work of Herzog & Higgins. Other prints may also be by this firm, although the standard of many is below that generally found in their work.
