Maroon full-leather album, measuring 367 x 503 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions and a letterpress introduction. Pages are interleaved with tissue and the title is stamped in gold on the front cover along with the photographer's name. A handwritten dedication on the front free endpaper reads: 'Presented to His Excellency the Right Hon'ble George Nathaniel, Baron Curzon of Kedleston, GMSI, GMIE, the Viceroy and Governor General of India. With best respects and as token of Friendship. By His Highness Sir Kaishree Singh, KCSI, Maharao Sahib Bahadur of Sirohi, Rajputana, [signed] Kaishree Singh. Dated Simla the 24th July 1899'. The introduction titled Abu or Ar-Budha offers a general description of the area and its architecture, the majority of which is recorded in the photographs. This album is an almost exact duplicate of Photo 332/1 (see for full catalogue entry) except for three prints: Print 1 is a different, earlier portrait of Keshri Singh; Print 27 is an extra, distant view of Nun's Rock; Print 36 is the same sitting but a different print of the Lawrence School children and teachers.
