Green full-leather bound album measuring 313x400mm, with title as above stamped in gold with elephant design, on front cover. The album has a letterpress titlepage, with the additional credit reading 'Photographs taken by the command of His Highness the Maharajah of Mysore, by Messrs. Barton, Son & Co., Bangalore', and an eight page introduction by M. Muttannah, Conservator of Forests. The prints (photogravure reproductions rather than original prints) are mounted on the page with letterpress captions beneath and longer descriptive text on the facing sheets.
