Black full-leather bound album measuring 353x456mm, with title as above and Lord Curzon's coat of arms stamped in gold within a decorative border on the front cover. Verso of front free endpaper is inscribed 'Presented to Earl Curzon of Kedleston with the warmest regards of his sincere friend Burdwan. May 1913.' Photographer's label pasted down on inside of back cover reads, 'Johnston & Hoffmann Photographers & Art Publishers. 22, Chowringhee, Calcutta.' Prints are mounted on page (recto only) with letterpress captions beneath. prints 25-28 are inserted loose at the back of the album. Prints 1-10 are views taken at the unveiling of the statue, prints 11-22 are general views and details of the statue itself. Prints 23-25 are views of the Curzon gateway and statue at Burdwan (Barddhawan), while prints 26-27 show the Calcutta statue before it was raised on its plinth; print 28 is a duplicate of print 13.
