Red half-leather album, measuring 175 mm x 245 mm, containing mounted prints with captions in Lady Curzon's hand. The photographs are snapshot views from various tours of India made by Curzon during his term of office as Viceroy, including views at Sanchi, Gwalior, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Sikandra, Muttra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Junagadh, Cochin, Mysore, Seringapatam, Madurai, Barakpur and Nepal. The contents can be broken down as follows:
Prints 1-34. Photographs, by Deen Dayal, of Curzon's first Autumn Tour of 1899, duplicated in Photo 430/17.
Prints 35-57. Autumn Tour of 1900 (Poor quality prints) including views at Diu, arrival at Junagadh and Lady Curzon seated on a rhinoceros, the Residency at Cochin, shooting party in Travancore, views at Mysore including the riding school and temples and views at Madurai.
Print 58. The Curzon family on a river launch in Calcutta, Jan 1901, with Lady Curzon shielding her children from the sun with a cushion.
Print 59. My worst effort of photography. Our family party in Cochin.
Prints 60-64. Barrackpore (Barakpur), 1901—informal portraits of Lady Curzon, her children and ADC's.
Prints 65-68. Tiger shoot in the Nepal Terai, April 1901, showing elephant rings.
