Collection of 111 loose prints of Indian furniture and architecture. The collection be broken down as follows:

Prints 1-4 Three prints of the copper shashana issued to the Cochin Jews and one view of the interior of the White Jews' Synagogue, Cochin, dated November 1900. Photographs by 'N.E. Roby, Photographer & Artist, Jew Town, Cochin.'

Prints 5-30 26 prints of various items of Indian carved wood furniture, c. 1900. Many of these pieces can be seen in situ in an unidentified Bombay mansion at OIOC Photo 430/73(59-72). Photographer unknown, but probably Devare's Art Studio, Bombay.

Prints 31-49 19 prints of Indian carved wood furniture, mounted on card with photographer's stamp of Devare's Art Studio, Fort, Bombay.

Prints 50-53 Four prints of Indian architecture at Bankura and Vishnupur, dated September-October 1895. The photographs are mounted on card, one of which is stamped Johnston & Hoffmann. However, the mounts of each print are also signed E.M. Konstam [Edwin Max Konstam ICS] and given the amateur quality of this work, it is clear that he was the photographer and that the prints were subsequently prepared and mounted by Johnston & Hoffmann. Prints 54-55 Two prints mounted on cabinet portrait cards, one showing the Viceroy Lord Ripon leaving Old Goa in 1884, the other of a waterfall. With inscription to Lord Curzon from the photographer Joseph J. Pereira.

Prints 56-73 18 prints of Jain architecture at Satrunjaya and Girnar by Maganlal and Parbhudas of Bhavnagar. Mounted on card with photographer's wet stamp and letterpress captions in English and two Indian scripts pasted beneath each image.

Prints 74-93 20 prints of architecture at Lucknow, Fatehgarh and Chunar, by various unidentified photographers.

Prints 94-109 16 prints of arachitecture at Sanchi (by Herzog and Higgins), Nagpur (by Townshend), Mandhata and Jabalpur.

Prints 110-111 2 prints: potters in Tripura (probably by Shamarandra Chandra Deb Barman of Tripura), and a portrait of the Maharaja of Mysore and his bride (by Barton, Son & Co., Bangalore).
