Blue cloth-covered album, 240x315mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The spine of the album has labels listing the locations and dates of the photographs as follows:

The inside front cover is signed 'C.E. Stotherd 1894' and on the opposite page is a handpainted card depicting a plaque with the words: 'Vote for Stotherd'. The photographs record Stotherd's education at Charterhouse and Cooper's Hill followed by his first appointments as an engineer in India. The majority are portraits of family, friends and colleagues, with some architectural and topographical views and views of engineering projects. There is a small watercolour, between prints 194 and 195, by C. Paget a fellow pupil at Charterhouse.
