Richard Douglas Perceval Collection: Album of views of railway building in Balochistan. Photographer(s): Lawrie and Company, G.W.
- Scope & Content:
-
Maroon half-leather album, 278x385mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The album and prints are in generally poor physical condition. A label pasted on the spine reads: 'R. D. P., India 1880/90' and the front free endpaper has a pencil drawing of a coat of arms with the monogram 'R. D. P' below. A group portrait of railway engineers at Print 9 includes 'R. D. Perceval' and it is probable that the album was his, compiled while working for the North Western State Railway on the Sind-Pishin line and Chaman extension.
