Scope & Content:

Brown quarter bound photograph album measuring 233x160mm, containing prints inserted two to a page in window mounts, with typescript captions beneath. Some prints contain additional caption information on the reverse, and this has been incorporated into the main caption or noted as appropriate. The album contains views at Varanasi (Benares), the Nilgiri Hills, Bihar and the Dafla Hills.

The collection was compiled by Major Charles Dennis Balding, Hampshire and Burma Rifles 1915-c.43.
