Mock-leather postbound 'Photex' photograph album measuring 152x225mm, containing prints mounted two to a page, with handwritten captions in ink. The contents of the album can be broken down as follows:
Prints 1-49 Views in the British Isles, 1923.
Prints 50-62 Voyage to India on the P. & O. S.S. Malaja, via Gibraltar and Suez, 1923.
Prints 63-120 Indian views, mainly of Delhi, but with a few of Agra and other locations, 1923-24.
Sir Norman Frederick Frome (1899-1982) joined the Indian Posts and Telegraphs Department in 1923, after service in the RAF. He was appointed Director of Telegraphs 1937, Postmaster General 1941 and Chief Engineer 1946.
