Soft-covered photograph album with cord ties, measuring 226x205mm, with prints mounted two to a page in window apertures, with handwritten captions in ink. The contents of the album can be broken down as follows:
Prints 1-8 Tiger hunting and camp scenes in the Central Provinces, 1927.
Prints 9-13 Views at Delhi, 1927.
Prints 14-22 Views at Agra and Fatehpur Sikri, mainly of architectural monuments, 1928.
Prints 23-29 Views at Shimla, 1928.
Prints 30-46 Views at Delhi, architecture and social scenes, 1928-29.
Sir Norman Frederick Frome (1899-1982) joined the Indian Posts and Telegraphs Department in 1923, after service in the RAF. He was appointed Director of Telegraphs 1937, Postmaster General 1941 and Chief Engineer 1946.
