Mock-leather photograph album measuring 230x177mm, with prints mounted two to a page in window apertures, with handwritten captions in ink. The contents of the album can be broken down as follows:
Prints 1-36 Views in England, 1930.
Prints 37-43 Voyage to India on S.S. Gange, including shipboard scenes, 1930.
Prints 44-57 Views in Calcutta and of country boats under sail on the Padma River at Narayanganj, 1930-31.
Prints 58-61 Views at Darjiling, 1931.
Prints 62-67 Views at Calcutta (several of Victoria Memorial), 1931.

Sir Norman Frederick Frome (1899-1982) joined the Indian Posts and Telegraphs Department in 1923, after service in the RAF. He was appointed Director of Telegraphs 1937, Postmaster General 1941 and Chief Engineer 1946.
