Scope & Content:

Dark green half-leather bound album (boards loose) measuring 310x425mm, with prints mounted several to the page, with handwritten captions in white ink beneath; probably photographed by Frank Ludlow. The contents of the album can be broken down as follows:

Prints 1-66 Bhutan and Tibet, 1933.

Prints 67-162 Bhutan and Tibet, 1934. Papers relating to Sherriff and Ludlow's botanical expeditions of 1933-34 can be found at IOR/L/P&S/12/4268 File 34.

Prints 163-321 Bhutan and Tibet, 1936.

Prints 322-367 British Political Mission to Lhasa, 1942-43.
