Scope & Content:

Half-leather bound album with green cloth sides, measuring 380 x 290 mm, with paper label stuck down on front cover, with handwritten title reading: 'J. H. E. Reid. Book 2. 1886-94'. Prints are mounted one to a page with handwritten captions in pencil beneath. The album is generally in very poor condition and has suffered considerably from damp in the past. The linen hinges have largely disintegrated and the album leaves are loose within the case. Many of the album leaves have split into their separate layers and a number of prints, particularly those at the front of the volume have been damaged and stained by the damp. Album requires urgent conservation attention and it should probably be broken down and the leaves mounted individually.

The album contains views in Ireland, Gibraltar, Malta, Suez.
