Black half-leather bound album measuring 325 x 440mm, binding loose. Prints are pasted down one to a page, with handwritten captions in ink beneath. It would appear that the album was originally filled only with Indian material and that the European views were added later, since that appear on alternate pages on the verso. The European views include scenes in Italy (mainly Pompeii), England and Scotland. Photographs from the Indian sub-continent includes views at Ambala, Delhi, Jaipur, Amber, Bharatpur, Dig, Gobardhan, Vrindavan, Agra, Rupar (Sirhind Canal), Fatehpur Sikri, Kanpur, Chamba, Lucknow, Rawalpindi, Shimla, Lahore, Amritsar. The majority of the views are by Samuel Bourne and Bourne & Shepherd.
