Scope & Content:

Maroon half-leather bound album measuring 432x330mm, with prints mounted one to a page (recto and verso), with neat handwritten captions in pencil beneath. A pencilled note on the front free endpaper reads: 'This book was won in a raffle at Messrs. Lawrie and Co's in Naini Tal about 1890. A little girl tossed the dice for me. J. R. [J. H. E. Reid]'. The page is also signed in pencil 'A. C. [Archibald Corrie] Macnabb 1936'. The album contains views of Naini Tal, Chaubattia, Rhanikhet, Shimla, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gwalior, Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bheraghat (Marble Rocks), Mussoorie and Mysore.
