Blue cloth covered album, stamped 'Photographs' with decorative design in gold in front cover and measuring 225 x 280 mm. The album is inscribed on the inside cover, 'Laurie from Lorna. On our wedding anniversary Aug: 2nd 1930.' The album contains prints mounted four to a page in window apertures, with captions written beneath in white ink. The contents of the album can be broken down as follows:
Prints 1-8 Views in Kashmir, 1920s.
Prints 9-20 General views, mainly at Roorkee, and including views of bridge under construction, and no. 7 Bungalow, Roorkee.
Prints 21-34 Views in Sri Lanka: bungalows, snapshots of friends, remains at Polonnaruwa.
Prints 35-41 Views in the Punjab (Pakistan), including military manouevres with tanks at Hassan Abdal.
Prints 42-56 Voyage home and views in England: Algiers, Port Said, Hastings, etc.
Prints 57-96 Irrigation and bridge building work in the Bara District, 1930.
