Green cloth-covered post-bound album, measuring 302 x 460 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The pages in this 'Seymour Expanding Album' are secured by canvas straps. The photographs include copies of artists impressions of the new city and views of early construction, workshops and staff quarters. Sir Hugh Keeling (1865-1955) was the Chief Engineer engaged in the construction of New Delhi from 1912-25. He was succeeded by Sir Alexander Rouse.
