Blue half-leather album, 309 x 424 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The photographs are of amateur quality, probably by Hogg, and include topographical views during a trip to Simla via Kalka and views of a trip to Kashmir, as well as views of Sindri, Hyderabad (Sindh) and military manoeuvres in Pune. There are several portraits of various Hogg family members at the end of the album, with some miscellaneous views of Cornwall.
Collection of Major-General George Crawford Hogg (1842-1941), who entered the Bombay Cavalry in 1858 and served in the Second Afghan War 1878-80; he was Quartermaster General, Bombay 1891-95 and commanded the Deesa District 1895-1900; transferred to unemployed supernumerary list 1904.
