Black and grey half-leather album, measuring 253 x 310 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The majority of photographs are of amateur quality, probably by Hogg, and include social life scenes, cantonment and hill station views, and miscellaneous topographical views at Mahabaleshwar and Poona (Pune). Some of the prints are duplicated in Photo 806/1.
Collection of Major-General George Crawford Hogg (1842-1941), who entered the Bombay Cavalry in 1858 and served in the Second Afghan War 1878-80; he was Quartermaster General, Bombay 1891-95 and commanded the Deesa District 1895-1900; transferred to unemployed supernumerary list 1904.
