Black and green half-leather album, measuring 318 x 445 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The photographs are mainly topographical views in Kashmir with some additional views and portraits in the cantonment at Disa. The majority of prints are duplicated elsewhere in the Hogg Collection (Photo 806/1).
Collection of Major-General George Crawford Hogg (1842-1941), who entered the Bombay Cavalry in 1858 and served in the Second Afghan War 1878-80; he was Quartermaster General, Bombay 1891-95 and commanded the Deesa District 1895-1900; transferred to unemployed supernumerary list 1904.
