Red cloth-covered album, measuring 310 x 422 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions. The photographs, mostly by Hogg, include: views and portraits at Disa and Palanpur; views taken during the Bombay Plague at hospitals in Palanpur and Pune (some duplicated in Photo 578/4); views and portraits at Erinpura; groups of Bhils including men of the Kherwara Bhil Corps; views of Bikaner, Somnath (Patan), Belgaum, Dharwad and Bijapur; portraits of Poona Horse officers; and topographical views in England.
Collection of Major-General George Crawford Hogg (1842-1941), who entered the Bombay Cavalry in 1858 and served in the Second Afghan War 1878-80; he was Quartermaster General, Bombay 1891-95 and commanded the Deesa District 1895-1900; transferred to unemployed supernumerary list 1904.
