Sir Frederick Sykes Collection: Album of miscellaneous views and portraits.

Black half-leather album, 312 x 423 mm, containing prints mounted with adhesive corner mounts. The photographs are the work of commercial photographers covering events attended by the Governor of Bombay during his first two years in office, and are mostly informal shots, with only a few formally posed portraits. The majority of prints are captioned on the verso.
Sir Frederick Sykes (d. 1954) was Governor of Bombay 1928-33.
