Walter Hawkins Nightingale Collection: Album of views of Calcutta.

Cloth-covered album, 317 x 267 mm, containing mounted prints with handwritten captions, from the collection of Walter Hawkins Nightingale, Public Works Department. The album covers are richly decorated with a floral pattern in green and gold-leaf, however the album is in generally poor condition with detached binding and brittle pages. The photographs are mainly topographical and architectural views in Calcutta and its vicinity with some additional portraits and miscellaneous views, including Darjiling.
