Blue half-leather album, 384x330mm, containing mounted prints. The photographs were taken by the Archaeological Survey, Eastern Circle, between 1905-09 and listed in its Annual Report. Copies of each year's report precede the photographs for that year, as follows:

The photographs, including views of architecture, sculpture and relics, were taken under the direction of the Superintendent of the Archaeological Survey, Eastern Circle, a post held at the time by T. Bloch.
In season 1907-08, Bloch and his assistant, Albert Longhurst, toured parts of the Central Provinces. The photographs from this and subsequent tours of the region were incorporated into a new series, distinguished from the main series by the suffix 'c'.
