Blue half-leather album, 384x330mm, containing mounted prints. The photographs were taken by the Archaeological Survey, Eastern Circle, between 1909-13 and listed in its Annual Report. Copies of each year's report precede the photographs for that year, as follows:

The photographs, including views of architecture, sculpture and relics, were taken under the direction of the Superintendent of the Archaeological Survey, Eastern Circle, a post held at the time by David Brainerd Spooner, formerly of the Frontier Circle, who took over in 1910 following Dr T. Bloch's death in 1909.
The photographs from archaeological tours of the Central Provinces are distinguished from the main series by the suffix 'c'.
