Scope & Content:

Blue half-leather album, measuring 387 x 318 mm, containing mounted prints. The photographs were taken by the Archaeological Survey, Eastern Circle, between 1913-17 and listed in its Annual Report. Copies of each year's report precede the photographs for that year, as follows:

The photographs, including views of architecture, sculpture and relics, were taken under the direction of the Superintendent of the Archaeological Survey, Eastern Circle, a post held at the time by D. B. Spooner.

The photographs from archaeological tours of the Central Provinces are distinguished from the main series by the suffix 'c'.
