Maroon post-bound album, 392x392mm, containing prints mounted on pages encapsulated in polyester sleeves. The photographs were taken by the Archaeological Survey, Frontier Circle, in the year 1916-17 and listed in its Annual Report (the report is not bound with the album). The sequential numbering was abandoned in the previous year and therefore the letter a has been added to distinguish prints from the earlier photographs with the same number.

The photographs, including architecture, sculpture, inscriptions and relics, were taken under the direction of the Superintendent of the Archaeological Survey, Frontier Circle, a post held at the time by V. Natesa Aiyar.
