Half-leather bound volume measuring 360 x 290 mm, containing 111 prints, principally of Indian temple architecture, taken by Henry Cousens, during tours for the seasons of 1891-92 and 1892-93. His reports for the period are bound in with the photographs, which are mounted on card one to a page (recto only). The 1891-92 tour took in Akola, Ratanvadi, Tahakiri, Sinnar, Tringalvadi, Nagapur, Patan, Vaghli, Sangamesvara, Pimpalgaon, Kurhand Khurd, Loharra, Shendurni, Gharkhed, Changdera, Balsane, Durana, Taulai, Prakasha, Jhodgha, Chandod, Nasik, Anjaneri, Ambarnath and Devalana. The 1892-93 tour took in Bhatkal, Murdeshvar, Garsoppa, Bilgi, Banavasi, Annavatti, Tillivalli, Motibennur, Degaon, Khedrapur and Kolhapur.
A number of the views made during Cousens' 1892-93 tour of Kanarese temples are reproduced in his 'The Chalukyan architecture of the Kanarese districts' (A.S.I., vol. XLII, New Imperial Series, Calcutta, 1926).
