Blue half-calf volume measuring 362 x 320 mm. The front board and spine are detached and many of the card pages are loose. The photographs (numbered 1592-1660) are preceded by a copy of Cousens' printed report of the survey's activities for the year ending 30 June 1899. The field tour for this season lasted from 9 January to the beginning of June 1899, during which Cousens and his assistants travelled through Kathiawar (modern Gujarat), striking a roughly south-eastern path from Ahmadabad through the centre of the district to the coast at Mangral, and then heading north-west up to Porbandar and beyond. The volume contains architectural views at Anandapur, Bileshvara, Chaubari, Chorwad, Dhandalpur, Junagadh, Kadvar, Kindarkheda, Mangral, Miyani, Parbadi, Rana Vav, Sejakpur, Somnath, Dutrapeda, Than, Visavada, Wadhwan.
