Windsor and Newton soft-covered sketchbook measuring 360x260mm, containing 71 gelatin silver prints recording the 1946 Cabinet Mission to India. The album records the mission's arrival at Karachi, delegation sessions at Delhi and visits to Srinagar and the Taj Mahal at Agra. Among the figures shown in the photographs are Lord Pethick Lawrence, Sir Stafford Cripps, Sir Francis Mudie (Governor of Sind), Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah (Prime Ministe of Sind), the Viceroy Lord Wavell, Dr Abul KalamAzad (President of Congress until July 1946), Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (President of Congress from July 1946), Mahatma Gandhi, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (President of the Depressed Classes Federation.
