Photograph albums of 'India, Kashmir, Egypt.' Photographer(s): Unknown
- Scope & Content:
-
Collection of approximately 200 prints (mainly snapshots, but with a few professionally taken photographs), mounted on 36 loose card pages measuring 435 x 600 mm. These pages were originally bound in three albums, but were disbound by the donor, owing to the poor condition of the boards. The album contains views relating to the professional and social life of an unidentified army officer and contains scenes at, among other locations, Malakand, Chakdarra, Tral, Srinagar, Jammu and Peshawar. A figure identified only as 'G.W.H.' is featured in a number of photographs, and it appears likely that this was the compiler of the collection.
