Commercially produced photograph album (volume two of four), measuring 210 x 305 mm, half-bound in blue and green cloth, with title as above stamped in gilt on upper board. The volume contains 20 gelatin silver prints, mounted one to a page on card (recto only), with letterpress captions printed beneath each image. The four volumes in the set, totalling 89 prints, document each stage in the process of jute manufacture, from growing the crop to export of finished bales. The second volume records the transportation of the crop to the press-house at Narayanganj, in the Dhaka Zila of present-day Bangladesh, and the weighing, sorting, pressing and baling of the fibre.
