Bailey Collection: Album of cabinet and carte-de-visite portraits of the Marshman and Bailey families.

Scope & Content:

Full diced-leather bound portrait album measuring 225x295mm, with brass borders and clasp, with prints inserted in aperture mounts. The front free endpaper is inscribed 'Florence Marshman with best wishes from [signature illegible] 23rd April 1873'. The album contains cabinet and carte-de-visite portraits (mainly the latter) of members of the Marshman and Bailey families. Only a minority of the prints have identifying captions in pencil. Unidentified sitters have not been individually listed in the print catalogue.
