Collection of 92 loose prints of Indian subjects relating to the visit to India in 1912-13 by Captain Home Peel (1884-1918), as Private Secretary to Edwin Samuel Montagu, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for India. A number are captioned on the reverse in pencil. Locations include Port Said, Srinagar, Varanasi, Kheri, Sarnath, Lahore, Khyber Pass, Jamrud, Kohat, Attock, Amritsar, Simla, Lucknow. Among the subjects covered are hunting scenes, the ghats at Varanasi, hunting at Kheri and other locations. The material also includes snapshot portraits of Edwin Samuel Montagu, Sir George Roos-Keppel, Sir Louis Dane and the Maharaja of Benares.
