Scope & Content:: This material was originally housed in a box marked ‘Smallholdings, Hops, Vineyard – East Sussex’; the photographs are all 152 x 202 mm and are of Kent, East Sussex and Taunton in Somerset; there are a few duplicate prints, the majority were subdivided into sleeves and this ordering has been maintained. Also included in the box are: the contact sheet for 7239 showing Mark Purdey’s dairy farm at Taunton, 5 colour slides of Dunlops Farm, colour transparencies, as well as a series of press cuttings and correspondence between Fay Godwin, the Ministry of Agriculture, The Rambler’s Association and Mark Purdey regarding his registration as a diary farmer and the ‘Right to Roam’ debate.
