Photographic copy of a (?)watercolour illustration from a manuscript report. The page is headed with the title (in Spanish), 'Ethnographic and archaeological results of the exploration of the Rio Madeira.' Signed at bottom right, 'Franco. Keller.' This print is not listed in the catalogue inserted in the album and may have been taken by someone other than Frisch. The following print is from the same source. These illustrations are original drawings resulting from the expedition undertaken in 1867 by Franz Keller-Leuzinger and his father, who were commissioned by the Department of Public Works at Rio de Janeiro, to explore the course of the Madeira River, with a view to the building of a railway.
