Map of the Fiji Islands, produced by the Land Department, Suva in 1927, with handwritten corrections by Lieutenant-Colonel Burton in 1936, to accompany the diary and photographs of his visit to Fiji. The map has been cut into squares and glued to a linen backing to enable it to be compactly folded.
Map of the Myitkyina district and tribal area, Yunnan Province, Burma and China produced in 1920; used by Lieutenant-Colonel Burton to show the area of the Pidoung Sanctuary for the information of the International Union for the Protection of Nature. The map originally accompanied a letter sent to the Secretary-General of the Union in Brussels, 3 December 1951. The map has been cut into squares and affixed to a string linen backing to enable it to be compactly folded. Some of the original map squares are no longer affixed to it.
