View looking across the court and along the avenue of sphinxes (half-buried in the sand), towards the inner pylon of the Temple of Amun and Re-Horakhty at el-Sebua, with a pair of colossi standing in the foreground. The temple is partly rock-cut ('hemi-speos'). With additional caption note: 'Le drômos était composé de seize sphinx, huit sur chaque ligne, d'où le nom arabe de Séboua (lions), — Deux colosses de Ramsès le Grand adossés à des stèles. — 3m 50 de hauteur.'
