Group of seven seated figures: 'The majority of those located in Berar came from Khandish, and resemble in appearance, and dress, those found in other parts of the Deccan. The Amla or Native Officers of the Commissioner's and Magistrate's Courts, consist principally of this caste, as do also most of the Tehsildars, Deismuks, and Deispandas of Berar...Their dress consists of a white, or red turban; a white or coloured ungarka; plain, or bordered dhooti, with a shawl or white cloth thrown over the shoulders.'
